Violence Reduction Unit

With the belief that violence is preventable - not inevitable, Scotland's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) is recognised internationally for its work to understand, prevent and tackle violence. After 5 years in operation, the Unit wished to review progress and engage with its partners and stakeholders to shape its work for the future. The Liddell Thomson Consultancy was appointed to carry out this review with the aim of producing recommendations that would inform the next phase of the unit's life. This involved face-to-face and telephone discussions with key individuals as well as an online survey circulated to those signed up to the Violence Prevention Alliance.
